The problem
What we were dealing with.
The original roof had reached the end of its life across the whole structure. An octagonal plan with a raised turret means eight hips meeting a central cap, and every one of those junctions is a place water can get in once the material goes.
Scope of work
- Full strip of the existing roof, including the central turret
- Timber and batten inspection with replacement where required
- Sarking laid across the full roof area before sheeting
- Colorbond sheeting set out to follow all eight facets
- Custom hip and ridge flashings made to suit the octagonal geometry
- New cap and flashing detail to the turret
